Retreat
Center
We
have a newly remodeled retreat center available which features
sleeping space for up to 30 people in bunk beds, a large
open meeting area, tables and chairs for up to 70 participants,
a fully equipped kitchen, Lake-front view and shower facilities.
Costs for overnight use is $10 per person, $200 minimum
payable in advance to reserve your date. Cost for day use
is $4 per person with a minimum of $100 to reserve your
date. A damage depsoit of $100 will also be required at
time of rental.
Pavilions
We
have three covered pavilion areas that are available for
group rental. Our main pavilion is able to seat 200 at picnic
tables. This pavilion has nearby access to the beach. A
portion or all of the pavillion can be reserverd, depending
on the number of people in your group. The lunch pavilion
seats up to 80 people and is near the bathrooms and snack
bar. Costs for group rental of any of the pavilions is $4
per person with a minimum of $100 to reserve your date.
Large
Groups
Large
groups may reserve the entire facility for day use during the off-season months
of September-May for a flat fee of $500, paid in advance.
Reservations
To

to verify available dates. If the date is available, you
will be sent a contract, which will need to be completed,
signed and returned with your deposit to confirm your reservation.
All applications are considered on a first-come, first served
basis.
Swimming
Safety Swimming
is not permitted without trained lifeguards. Lifeguards are not
provided by Lake Nixon. If your group wishes to swim, you must have a minimum
of two waterfront certified lifeguards on duty. We will need copies of the certification
with your registration. If needed, we can provide you with a list of lifeguards
that may be available for hire. Expectations
All
groups and individuals using our facilities are expected
to uphold the spirit of Lake Nixon. Lake Nixon is dedicated
to God and seeks to bear a Christian witness. Therefore,
Christian ideals are expected of those who share our camp
facilities. Children are to be supervised at all times.
There will be no use of alcoholic beverages or non-prescription
drugs. Because of extreme fire danger, smoking and fireworks
are not permitted anywhere on Lake Nixon premises.
Pets are not allowed on the Lake Nixon property.
Groups are expected to maintain the facilities by regular
pick up of paper, disposal of trash, etc., throughout their
event.
Summer
Weekends
During
the Camp Season (June 14-August 37) we are open to the public
on weekends. Individuals or families may come to swim, fish,
paddle boat or just play on our sand beach, basketball court
or playground. You may bring a picnic or purchase food from
our snack bar. Lifeguards will be on duty. We are open Saturday
and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5.00 for
adults (12 and older) and $4.00 for children (Ages 3-11).
Children age 2 and younger are admitted free.
