| What
will my children do all day? At
Lake Nixon our goal is to help build kids of character. Campers will have the
opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, including camp songs, arts
and crafts, nature hikes, team games and sports, swimming, fishing, paddle boating,
volleyball, basketball, picnicking, sand structures, water games, Bible lessons,
table games, and more. Each day is packed with fun. Who
can attend? Day
Camp is open to boys and girls who have completed kindergarten through the 5th
grade. Reservations fill up fast, so request your registration
form today to reserve your space. Campers are divided by grade and sex and
are placed under the care of trained counselors who are responsible for the campers
at all times. Lifeguards and counselors closely supervise all water activities.
Lake Nixon provides a safe, shallow swim area for younger children. Our swimming
facilities are approved by the Arkansas State Department of Health. What
about meals and snacks?
Campers
may bring their lunch or purchase a sack lunch from the
Snack Shack for $3.00. Snacks will be provided to campers
each morning and afternoon. The cost for all snacks is included
in your weekly fee.
What
if it rains? In
case of inclement weather, we have numerous covered pavilions, a lodge and our
crafts building to provide shelter. So, Lake Nixon is open rain or shine! What
if I want to attend more than one week?
You
may attend as many weeks as you wish. Our value-building program changes each
week, so campers can attend all summer without becoming bored. Registration preference will be given to campers attending the most weeks.
